Gemcor offers a number of manual, semi-automatic, fully automatic CNC and robotic positioning solutions to aid operators in fastening airframe assemblies.

Fully Automatic CNC Positioners – With more than two hundred (200) Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) positioners installed, Gemcor is very well versed in supplying CNC positioning systems for even the most exacting of requirements. Whether a simple three (3) axis or all the way up to a eight (8) axis system, Gemcor has a design and approach to best handle your application in the most efficient and economical manner.
G12 Five Axis Work Positioner – Gemcor’s G12 five  axis CNC positioner provides “X”, “Y”, “Z”, “A” and “B” motion to position the panel and normalize fastener locations on the panel with the pressure foot bushing. “Y”, “Z” and “A” movements are generated within the pedestals, therefore the G12 design provides capability of floor level panel loading both vertically and horizontally. The G12 positioner is lighter in weight than a G86 positioner, eliminating the need for a special foundation while still affording a highly flexible, fast and precise solution for even the most exacting assembly requirements.
G14 Five Axis Work Positioner – Gemcor’s new lighter weight G14 CNC Positioning system can be quickly and easily installed on most standard factory floors without the need for special foundations. With the integration of highly flexible in process adaptive controls systems, the G14 is able to meet the most exacting of aerospace applications with the minimal amount of hard tooling allowing for quick changeover and reconfiguration for many different present and future applications.

G86 Five Axis Work Positioner – Gemcor’s G86 Precision CNC Positioning and Fastening Systems combine a unique low center of gravity approach with weight reduction technologies to provide rapid travel, high accuracy, and impressive positioning repeatability. The system offers a modular frame design, resulting in faster field assembly and greater manufacturing flexibility for growth to accommodate various future fastening programs.
G2000 Seven Axis Work Positioner – GEMCOR’s Model G2000 Precision CNC Positioning and Fastening Systems combines the G86 positioner with a unique additional minor C frame mounted in place of a straight lower ram enabling the fastening of full 180 degree half fuselage super panels. Combined with a low center of gravity approach with weight and backlash reduction technologies to provide rapid travel, high accuracy, and impressive positioning repeatability. The system offers a modular frame design, resulting in faster field assembly and greater manufacturing flexibility for growth to accommodate various future fastening programs.
Each Overhead Positioning System is sized to meet customer-specific requirements and interfaced to the riveter to assure safe movement of the positioner or riveter without causing damage to the panel or riveter. Overhead Positioning Systems are commonly used to aid with positioning and fastening of fuselage panels, bulkheads, door assemblies, large frame sub-assemblies and even simpler smaller wings and spars.
Gemcor offers a number of robotic positioning solutions to aid aircraft manufacturing operations, utilizing robots to position and present airframe assemblies to an All-Electric, Gemcor fastening system. Using dual encoder feedback coupled with advanced vision resynchronization technology has generated new methods of cost-effective, robotic aircraft assembly. These measurement systems are integrated directly into the fully integrated cell to maintian the robots position relative to the All-Electric C Frame Fastening System. This “closed loop” system provides a high degree of accuracy and repeatability required to position airframe panels and achieve normality.
