Job Description and Profile

The job of Operations Assistant is to perform a variety of different support functions for Operations including Procurement, Shipping and Receiving and related departments. The main responsibility of Operations Assistant is to facilitating the flow of materials to and from various suppliers or departments. Works closely with vendors to secure the appropriate goods and coordinate delivery. The Operations Assistant interfaces across multiple departments to perform specialized computer tasks as instructed by Director of Operations and other Managers to relieve staff of certain essential routine responsibilities and to assist staff by finishing projects and workflows as requested to meet deadlines. Reports directly to Director of Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support Director of Operations and Manufacturing Operations.
  • Working closely with manufacturing departments to various functions to include purchasing, shipping, receiving and data entry.
  • Works directly with Supplies within the Supply Chain to support Procurement Department activities.
  • Creating and maintaining accurate status reports on purchase orders and supplier capacities.
  • Support the staff by completing weekly responsibilities and provide receptionist back-up

 

Skills and Specifications

  • Ability to Multi task and organize ongoing projects, looking for ways to become more efficient in completing tasks
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required, including ability to work in a self-directed environment
  • Must be a good communicator both verbally and written.
  • Proficient in use of a computer and common office software is required (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • .Enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive behavior.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed to support the team

 

Education and Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent

3-5 years’ experience in similar position within a manufacturing environment.

Senior Level – Mechanical Designer
Description:
Gemcor provides custom automated fastening solutions to support aircraft production around the world. We are seeking a senior mechanical designer with ability to create layouts, models, detail and assembly drawings for customized machinery. Candidate will possess a broad technical knowledge of engineering principles and apply them for everyday use.
Primary Job Functions:
Responsible for creating designs from engineering design instructions.
Required Skills:
• Experience in creating 3D mechanical designs using Inventor or similar software.
• Experience in creating 2D mechanical detail and assembly drawings and bills of materials using Autocad or similar software.
• Experience in creating sheet metal components, weldments, machined parts and assemblies.
• Understanding of Geometric tolerances for machined components.
• Ability to interface with vendors for component selection.
• Fluent in MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to function in a self-directed environment.
• Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive, and readily embraces change.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in machine design, statics, dynamics, pneumatics, hydraulics and electro-mechanical drive components and selection.

• Ability to head up design teams, perform review activities, scheduling and checking functions
• Ability to handle customers professionally during all interfaces and provide quality support to end users.
• Knowledge of CE requirements and risk assessments.
• Ability to perform proposal and quoting activities
• Knowledge of six sigma statistical analysis, mean time between failure (MTBF), Mean time between repair (MTBR), root cause and failure analysis.
• 5+ years of design experience.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred) or equivalent job related experience.

Gemcor provides custom automated fastening solutions to support aircraft production globally. We are seeking a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant capable of performing all functions related to reception, secretarial and front office operation.

Primary Job Functions:

Responsible for answering a multi line telephone system, direct calls, and take messages as well as provide administrative support for various departments including the Controller.  Support functions to other departments includes; maintaining and applying for employees passports and visas, performing security screening of visitors, arranging, picking and setting up lunches for customer visits, arranging and booking flights for various personnel, general ledger entries, bank account reconciliations and assist in month end closing.

Required Skills:

  • Fluent in MS office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Internet Search.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated, strong time management, and organization skills.
  • Detail-oriented and excellent follow-up skills.
